Childrens Summer Activity Days

A series of 3 activity days in August. Come to one or all three - circus, arts & fun day.

Monday 4th August - Circus Skills, Puppetry and storytelling from Panic Circus, the best family circus around.

Monday 11th August - Have a go at some of the activities which Broneirion can offer including Giant Inflatable Assault Course, Zorbing, Archery, Rock Climbing Wall,  Geocaching and more...

Wednesday 20th August - Alex Allpress Pottery - have a go at throwing a pot, Crackpots - paint your own pot to take home, Model Making - junk models and recycled sculpture, Cup Cake Decorating - be creative with yummy ingredients.

Each day costs £22.00 for the first child and £15.00 for siblings. If you wish to book all three the total cost is £56.00 for all three (this applies only to the first child). All children under 8 years old must be supervised by an adult. Bring a packed lunch or we can provide a packed lunch at £5.00per child to preorder.
All days start at 9.30am and finish at 4.00pm.

Aberystwyth University Summer Art School - 5th - 8th August 2014

The Art summer school is this year based at Broneirion. During your stay you will be able to participate in a high quality learning experience and gain an accredited university qualification. Courses are run with fun and laughter by enthusiastic experienced tutors.

Open landscapes, four acres of grounds and comfortable surroundings plus delicious home cooked food make this course a must for anyone interested in  developing their artistic talents. Courses on offer are "Drawing with Scissors: Collage with Jude Macklin" and "Express Yourself: Painting with Laurie Plant"

"150 Years of Broneirion" Summer Break - 23rd - 26th September

In 2014 Broneirion will be 150 years old. Book on our Broneirion Holiday to celebrate with us. Spend three nights in our beautiful and comfortable Victorian Country House, make new friends, enjoy freshly prepared homecooked meals and spend time visiting historic houses, viewing the spectacular scenery of the Cambrian Mountains and touring the National Library of Wales.

Cost: £295.00pp to include full board and all excursions.

Excursions from Broneirion - 23rd, 24th & 25th September

Tuesday September 23rd - Gigrin Red Kite Farm & Elan Valley

Pick up from Llandinam village car park at 1.15pm.

Return approx. 5.30pm

We shall arrive at Gigrin Red Kite farm where you will be amazed at “surely the largest, most fantastic bird table in the world”. Following this a drive around the Elan Valley will reveal some of Mid Wales’ most spectacular and beautiful landscapes.

Cost - £10.00pp

 

Wednesday September 24th – Erddig (National Trust Property)

Pick up from village car park at 9.30am

Return approx.5.00pm                                                                                                              Erddig near Wrexham was home to the Yorke family for over 250 years. Widely acclaimed as one of Britain's finest historic houses, Erddig is a fascinating yet unpretentious early 18th-century country house reflecting the upstairs downstairs life of a gentry family over 250 years.The extensive downstairs area contains Erddig's unique collection of servants' portraits, while the upstairs rooms are an amazing treasure trove of fine furniture, textiles and wallpapers. Outside, an impressive range of outbuildings includes stables, smithy, joiners' shop and sawmill. The setting is a superb 18th-century formal garden and romantic landscape park. Cost - £20.00pp

 

Thursday September 25th – Vale of Rheiddol Railway and National Library of Wales

Pick up from village car park at 9.30am

Return approx. 5.00pm

We will be taking you to Devil’s Bridge where you will journey by steam train to Aberystwyth on the Vale of Rheiddol Railway. Your bus will meet you at Aberystwyth and you will visit the National Library of Wales for a guided tour where you can learn about some of Waels’ most fascinating collections, and perhaps find out about your own ancestors. Depending upon timings this may take place the other way around – eg. National Library followed by steam train.(TBC)

Cost - £20.00pp
